PROFILE

I am a freehand illustrator with a predominantly loose and fluid style. I strive for a fearless and bold approach, and I always work big and scale down after. I use Japanese ink and a dip pen for my line work, and sometimes apply an ink wash to get the watery textures you see in some of my shading. I usually apply colour digitally using Photoshop. My influences come from comic books, satirical cartoons, films, photographs and more. Inspiriation comes from people I see, places I go, stories, conversations, animals and nature, music, anything really. When I am not sketching I enjoy photography, and often my photographic work feeds into my illustration as another form of inspiration.
